Ralph Lauren Cat Eye Sunglasses
$250 from Endless.com
It may be raining today but there's no harm in planning ahead for the summer and lusting over sunglasses. I've been looking for a pair of 'cat eye' shaped sunglasses and found these. Albeit a little out of my price range they are so cute and I love the summery yellow colour. Now off to do a sun dance, anyone care to join me?

This Week...Cos the sun don't shine here everyday

0.1 The sun has been out in force and the good dose of Vitamin D has certainly had a very positive effect on my mood - am trying to ignore the weather reports of rain for Wednesday =| - and my wardrobe. I wore the outfit above with my cardigan, gilet and scarf but by the time I was walking home from home it was lovely and warm. Being the pessimistic person that I am, I'm pretty sure this is all the summer sunshine we'll get in the UK so I wanted to make the most of it. But in reality I was stuck inside doing coursework and preparing for a presentation on Friday - though we did have one group presentation session sat in the park by the Student Union. But all my deadlines have passed and I've just got some work for classes and revision for two weeks before EASTER HOLIDAYS!!
0.2 As a treat for all the work I did last week I headed to the TopShop Flash Sale. I usually only browse in TopShop (the prices are just not worth it sometimes in my opinion) but I managed to clock the 1/2 price jewellery stand and picked up two rings I've been lusting over for about 2 months. I also tried on these tapered pants, they weren't in the sale but I scoped them out in the petite section and felt I needed to at least try out this trend. I thought they looked a bit frumpy on me, but what do you guys think?

This Week...Spring has sprung!

0.1 I told you I'd get my butt out and do a decent outfit post! It was surprisingly warm this week and the sun was out so I dug out some off my Spring wardrobe. It's carried on so far this week, I think the exception was Friday when it was completely tipping it down but that's Britain for you. It's been an easier week with work, handed in alot of stuff and really just need to get this week out of the way before I can relax (well, slightly. Exams are coming up in May).
0.2 Remember this wishlist item? Well, I found a lovely version from New Look for £20 and yes, bought it. I really love it, defintaley gonna get some use out of it this Spring/Summer. The shirt looks like it's faded in the middle but it's all the same colour, I think it was my flash.
0.3 What do you guys think of the new header logo? I'm testing out some new blog design ideas and wanna get your opinions. I'm still trying to regain the competency I had with html back from my old MySpace days, it's taking a while to figure out but I'll get there :).

For Japan With Love

I'm sure there's not a person in the world who doesn't know about the horrific events that have happened in Japan this week. The pictures and news reports have been horrible to watch, but one thing that always amazes me is how much people want to help in any way possible.
I have very personal links with Japan, my dad attended University there, my parents lived there before I was born and I even spent some of my early childhood there. As well as the tsunami just missing my distant family in the Philippines.

I would normally put out a post tomorrow so I've decided to join the Blogger's silence. I know it's already the 18th March in some countries but the point of the silence is simply my way of showing some support for those affected by the disaster in Japan. I encourage all to get involved, even if you don't do the silence.
PSA over and out!

Pray for Japan.

Sparkle & Fade Sleeveless shirt dress
I recently signed up to Urban Outfitter's newsletter, found it a little surprising I hadn't done so before but what they hey, and knew it was a big mistake as soon as I clicked 'Ok'. Cue nearly an hour surfing the site lusting over everything in there. The dress above is one of many favourites. I love this one in particular for it's potential versatility. It could get tucked into a skirt, or worn as a dress cinched with a belt, or with leggings and blazer. Now I just need to justify spending £55 on it and I'll be fine...OR as my promise for Lent goes, try to find a similar one in a charity shop. I'm sure there are plenty of oversized shirts I could DIY into a similar dress right??

This Week...Goodbyes, Deadlines, Presents and Lazy Fashion

New Look Duffle Gilet - £29.99
0.1 Once again I feel I'm apologising for the lack of blog posts this week. Uni work has really crept up on me and I feel like it's gonna be like this until Easter/Spring break - in about a month =(. Nothing much to update apart from how much I hate deadlines really lol. Because I've been so busy, I'm afraid my fashion too has gone out the window. I amaze myself if I manage to get a pair of socks on in the morning let alone a lovely co-ordinated outfit. Which where my comfy New Look gilet and my college hoodie come in handy ^_^ It has been rather lovely outside recently though, so maybe I'll get off my backside this week and have some nice Spring-ish outfit posts soon.
0.2 A close friend of mine is moving away today, so yesterday was a day of goodbyes. Cinema to see Gnomeo and Juliet, got a mega food baby at Frankie & Benny's and bowling. It was such a nice time especially after the stressful week I had. I don't even care how much money I spent to be honest, was all worth it for a proper send off for a friend.
0.3 Finally for this quick post, my grandma recently send a box of things to us with some of my parent's old photo albums and presents. These are two new bags I got from her. Handmade from the Philippines. I LOVE the wicker backpack most - especially as the front looks like a face hehe I'm way too easily amused - just hoping the weather will hold out enough this summer for me to get some use out of it!

Best images from fashion week F/W 2011

So I've been so sporadic with my blogging lately, Uni work is of course the reason. So many deadlines and so little time means severe lack of blog posts!
I know many part time bloggers may also be feeling the pressure to put out posts as well as keep up with real life commitments, so I thought I'd just put up a few of my favourite photos from all of the f/w11 fashion weeks to clear away a little of the gloom from up-coming assessments, exams or work stress.
I also know there are many who have been affected in some way by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Personally I've been worried sick about potential tsunami warnings in the Philippines where all my extended family live.
My prayers are with those who have suffered from this disaster <3
So my heart goes out to all of you, and your worries, big and small. Sit back and take a moment out. Enjoy.

This Week...So much for staying Frugal (but Shhh don't tell anyone!)

Large peach ring - H&M - £3.99
Set of 3 small rings - Miss Selfridges - £6.50 £2 Sale
0.1 It's March! This year is going way too quick - even though I cannot wait for it to be Summer. So Frugal February is officially over and though in my last 'This Week' post I was preaching about my conversion to a more frugal lifestyle I have to admit I've already fallen at the first hurdle in the FIRST WEEK of March! I'll hang my head in shame, though I have been wanting the rings since I saw them in store about a month ago. I also bought a decent black gilet from New Look that I've really needed for years, it's crazy practical and comfy. The shoes below, however, were a splurge. I bought them last Friday after spying them in the children's section to kinda cheer myself up over the fact I have so much work to do for University. They are perfect for work and, more than the shoes themselves, the print inside the shoes is adorable!!
0.2 In case you haven't noticed, it's Monday lol. I started doing 'This Week' posts on Sundays because, well, it looked like I had nothing better to do - apart from Uni work of course - and it kinda made logical sense. But the past few week have been beyond hectic and though I'm quite proud I got my post out last week, it wasn't without a little stress the night before whilst sorting what I was going to bring to LFWend. So I'm switching the routine up a bit and it also means I can have a nice blogging free weekend and time for Uni work :)
0.3 I don't think I ever shared what I bought at London Fashion Weekend. Above is the vest top by Reem Alasadi I mentioned in my London Fashion Weekend Post. It was only £15! The neckline is cut a little low though, so when I wore it to Uni the other day I was having to haul it up quite a bit and cover it with my scarf. But it will be perfect for the summer!
