As 2011 comes to a close I'm looking back some stylish resolutions I set way back at the start of the year. Some have been a success...some? well take a look at how I did...
Wear more colour
I ventured out of my black and beige wardrobe and embraced a more colourful side of my personal style. From the bright and sunny summer hues to rich Autumn and winter shades, I did really try to make an effort to shy away from boring neutrals and definitely am gonna keep this resolution up as I spy neon and candy shades coming up for Spring/Summer 2012.
Invest in hats
Let down no #1, with the exception of my wool winter beanie I've yet to invest in anymore headgear than I did since the beginning of 2011...
No more stripes
Challenge definitely completed! I loved breaking the habit of having too many stripes in my wardrobe in all types of clothing. I will admit I have bought one or two striped pieces this year...they are a wardrobe staple, I can't eliminate them completely.
Get some gladiators
This was an obscure one and possibly not achieved due to the lack of regular heatwaves like the year before. I did manage to replace my old sandals but alas no gladiators, hopefully I'll rock some next Summer.
Embrace my inner girl
Slowly. Slowly but surely I'm getting there with this resolution. I didn't quite take ahold of that 1970's diva trend but I did venture into the more 'Zoey Deschanel' fashion stylebook for a more preppy take on being a bit more girl-y with my styling. Hopefully Spring/Summer12 1950's revival should push me into that feminine frontier.
So, 3/5 isn't too bad, I'll be setting some new resolutions next week so look out for that post!
And it's looking like this will be the last time I blog before 2012.
So I wish you all a very Happy New Year!!
