There's a strange trend floating around Hollywood and fashion circles. Is it the influence of the cold weather? Have all these stars been inspired by superhero mega hit The Avengers? Or is this fashion's newest way to set yourself apart from the crowd?
Whatever the reason the cape seems to be here to stay. From Hollywood starlets to alternative musicians alike the cape everyone seems to be channelling their inner Superman (or in this case Superwoman). Most recently Fan Bingbing wowed the Cannes crowd in a gorgeous 'Elie Saab Couture' gown and matching cape.
The F/W 2012 runways have been alight with capes too, from Dolce & Gabbana to Elie Saab

So keep an eye out once the shops start stocking for Autumn, you may find yourself wrapped up in some serious fabric. But don't shy away, embrace your inner Super hero!

I had noticed capes on a couple of celebs but I had no idea so many had embraced the trend. I love superheroes so why not, ha ha. :) x

I really like capes - maybe ones which are a bit more practical than those, though, haha! I think I'd rather just go with the traditional coat though, don't want my poor arms getting cold.
