The big finale of the January/February awards seasons all comes down to the Academy Awards held in Hollywood, also known as the Oscars! I found this year’s event particularly hard to judge with so many wonderful looks and some unexpected favourites...

What I wore: Top, jeans & necklace [New Look], cardigan [H&M], boots [M&S]
- I pretty much gorged myself on strawberries the other day - clearly in need of a haircut, but also try to kind of grow my fringe a little (thinking of going back to my side fringe...) - Bored on the train home - Again bored on the train home, also a demonstration of some of the gloomy weather this week (which has actually much improved since Monday - PANCAKE DAY - Starbucks hot chocolate (no coffee for Lent) - March issue of Company - Zooey Deschanel on the cover and I loved this particular look from her shoot - New Barry M nail polish in 'Mushroom' and 'Peach Melba' - New midi-skirt from New Look, it's a little long for a midi so I'll need to take it up about an inch -
Soundtrack: Glee Cast (Darren Criss) - Cough Syrup
A bit of a boring week compared to all the excitement and goings on last week. Spent most of my time doing research for my various modules and trying to get over last Tuesday's Glee episode (7 week hiatus wah!). Also been trying to catch up on all the fashion week goings on as well as generally get back into fashion in general, because awards show season seriously takes me out of this world a little bit. Excited to watch the Oscars red carpet tonight though, hoping the season will go out with a bang!

A belated post but here it is, my round up of the best and worst of the red carpet fashion at the BRIT Awards held last Tuesday in London. It was an all round mixed affair when it came to fashion with the artists out to wow and showcase their personalities on the night.

So I decided to change up my 'This Week' post format, what do you think? I discovered Vignette for Android for my phone and I gotta admit I'm a little obsessed. It's become my new favourite way to document my life and I can make my phone photos look all pretty ^_^
Also tried lightly curling my hair at the ends to change up my hairstyle a lil' bit a la Zooey Deschanel, thoughts?

As well as the BAFTAs in London, L.A. played host to the biggest night for the music industry; The Grammy Awards. The Grammy's are always interesting when it comes to the red carpet and I was expecting many O.M.G moments...let's just say it didn't disappoint.

The first round up of the double awards ceremony weekend. The BAFTAs were held in London this Sunday with many a Hollywood starlet flying from across the pond to brave the cold British weather. If I was completely honest, the red carpet looks for this event didn't blow me away as much as they did last year, I definitely felt a lack of female attendees at the awards this year, but hey ho! There was still plenty to look at...

1.What I wore: top [TopShop], leggings & cardigan [New Look]...
3.boots [George @ASDA]
4.Gloomy gloomy weather, I miss the sunshine!
5.Felt I was chaneling a little Parisian chic with my striped top, camel coloured coat and black boots lol
6.New gradient nails using; Boots Natural Collection [peach manicure]; Maybelline New York [461 copper]; Rimmel London 'rock the colour' [glitter topcoat]. I know I promised a tutorial just after Christmas, when I did a blue glitter gradient, but I'll definitely try and get one out this week or next week!
7.Starbucks Caramel Hot Chocolate ^_^
8.There was a little dusting of snow where I lived. It was just enough to make my garden look pretty, but not enough to delay trains and generally annoy me [not a snow fan if you hadn't guessed by now lol]
Hope everyone's fine and dandy. It's not been too bad a week, Uni is Uni and I'm now fully in the swing of my new timetable. Been trying to keep up with the blogsphere, but I feel a little out the loop. I'm hoping to do a mega catch up with comments/reading tonight and on my half day/day off work on Wednesday.
Also, woke up to the news of Whitney Houston's death this morning, so tragic! A lot of her songs hold some pretty dear memories for me =( hopefully staying up for the Grammy's tonight to hear Jennifer Hudson's tribute to her, should be amazing!

Michelle Williams was recently snapped up to join the list of celebs that have posed for Band of Outsiders. The shoot was for their Spring 2012 collection and the spread it really adorable.
She has an almost Alice in Wonderland quality about her here, a definite far cry from her vivacious role as Marilyn Monroe, and the whole shoot is just beautiful. Here are some of my favourite images from the shoot but you can see all of the photos here.
